<p>The mother of student activist Panusaya Sithijirawattanakul has received a police summons on a charge under the Emergency Decree, after she joined a protest demanding her daughter’s release.</p>
<p>In the presence of dozens of soldiers and police officers, people gathered yesterday evening in central Bangkok to show solidarity with an embattled anti-junta activist held in custody for lèse majesté.</p>
<p>At 5 pm on 18 January 2017, about 50 people — many of them members of the anti-junta activist groups New Democracy Movement (NDM) and Resistant Citizen — gathered on the skywalk above Ratchaprasong Intersection in Bangkok.</p>
<p>Leading anti-junta activist groups have planned to gather at Ratchaprasong Intersection in central Bangkok from 5-6 pm on 18 January 2017 to support Jatuphat ‘Pai’ Boonpattararaksa.</p>
<p>The organisers of the ‘Anything for Pai’ event are the New Democracy Movement (NDM) of which Jatuphat is a member and Resistant Citizen, another well-known anti-junta group. </p>
<p>The group will gather on the skywalk at the intersection to write postcards and perform other activities.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Anti-junta activists and others have travelled from Bangkok to Khon Kaen to campaign for the release of an anti-junta activist accused of lèse majesté.</p>
<p dir="ltr">On 12 January 2016, members of Resistant Citizens, an anti-junta activist group led by Sirawit Serithiwat, gathered at Hua Lamphong Train Station, Bangkok to take a trip to Khon Kaen province in northeastern Thailand.</p>
<p>Activists charged over Rajabhakti Park trip refuse to be tried by Military Court</p>

<p>Embattled anti-junta activists charged with defying the Thai junta’s ban on political gatherings by organizing a field trip to Rajabhakti Park, the military’s royal theme park plagued with corruption allegations, have refused to be tried by a Military Court.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Key members of Resistant Citizen, a well-known anti-junta activists group, and other leading pro-democracy activists might be charged with Computer Crime Act over performing in a music video on the draft constitution referendum.</p>
<p>A self-described patriotic group has urged the police to probe a well-known anti-junta activist group who accused the Thai junta of overthrowing the constitution.</p>

<p>The Military Court has handed out a three-month jail term to an elderly teacher accused of sedition for giving a flower to an anti-junta activist.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.matichon.co.th/news/144953">Matichon Online</a> reported that the Military Court of Bangkok at 11:40 am on Monday, 23 May 2016, sentenced Preecha Kaewbanpaew, a 77-year-old retired teacher, to six months’ imprisonment and fined him 8,000 baht.</p>

<div>The Military Court has issued an arrest warrant for Patnaree Charnkij, mother of a pro-democracy activist, for lèse-majesté. Her lawyer said authorities issued an arrest warrant without a summons. </div>

<div>On Friday, 6 May 2016, Khaosod <a href="http://www.khaosod.co.th/view_newsonline.php?newsid=1462507334">reported</a> that the Bangkok Military Court issued an arrest warrant for Patnaree Charnkij under Article 112 of the Criminal Code, the lèse-majesté law.

<p>Police have charged activists for violating the public cleanliness act by posting messages on post-its for <a href="http://www.prachatai.org/english/category/the-eight-abducted-junta-critics">the eight abducted junta critics </a>while a few were interrogated for participating in the same activity.</p>
<p>Thai police have detained 16 activists for standing still to show solidarity with <a href="http://prachatai.org/english/node/6087">10 persons abducted earlier by the military</a>. One of the 16 was later taken away by the military after the arrest.</p>
<p>Police officers at about 6:30 pm on Wednesday, 27 April 2016, arrested 16 people for gathering at the Victory Monument in Bangkok and standing still to show solidarity with 10 people abducted by the military on Wednesday morning.</p>
