Exiled redshirt suspected of army hospital bombing: army commander

The Army Commander-in-Chief has said an exiled extremist redshirt could be a suspect in the recent blast at a hospital run by the Army, adding the junta might bring back military trials for those who commit crimes against national security.   On 25 May 2017, Gen Charlermchai Sitthisat, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, revealed that the authorities have compiled a list of suspects who could be behind the recent bombing of Phramongkutklao Hospital

The junta has restarted its restless hunt for Wuthipong Kachathamkun, also known as Ko Tee, an exiled hard-core red-shirt leader. The junta claim he is involved in a plot to assassinate the junta head. But who is he actually?   On 18 March, a combined force of police and military searched nine houses and arrested nine people allegedly involved in a plot to assassinate the junta leader Gen Prayut Chan-ocha.
